1. Ryan Murder Case Live: Post-Mortem Report Rules Out Sexual Assault

Pradyumn Thakur, a Class 2 student of Ryan International School in Bhondsi, Gurugram, was found with his throat slit in the school washroom on 8 September. A bus conductor confessed to the killing, but many questions still remain unanswered.

While the school administration has faced serious flak over security lapses, the victim’s parents have demanded a CBI probe into the murder and their petition was heard by the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

2. AIADMK Live: Sasikala Sacked, Jaya to Be ‘Eternal Gen Secretary’

Amid constant political turmoil, the AIADMK passed a resolution to boot out Sasikala as interim general secretary, and her nephew TTV Dinkaran as the deputy general secretary, in a party general council meeting held on Tuesday.

The eighth resolution adopted by the general council (GC) declared that the post of temporary general secretary stands forfeited and Sasikala has been expelled as general secretary.

However, the duo will continue to retain primary membership in the party.

3. ‘Dynasty Politics. That’s How India Works’: Rahul at Berkeley

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi began his two-week visit to the US on 11 September, where he addressed students at the University of California, Berkeley, in his first engagement in the country.

Gandhi addressed students at the International House, Chevron Auditorium, as a part of the varsity's 'India at 70: Reflections on the Path Forward' event.

Gandhi, 47, was received at the San Francisco airport by senior Congress leader Sam Pitroda and Shudh Singh, the president of Indian National Overseas Congress (INOC).

4. Bengaluru Takes to the Streets For ‘I am Gauri’ Protest

Thousands of people flocked the roads of Bengaluru, pledging to take Gauri Lankesh’s fight forward. The ‘I Am Gauri’ rally saw a large gathering across the city. Police estimated that about 4,000 to 5,000 people participated in the march.

Echoes of voices chanting “I am Gauri, we are Gauri” could be heard as citizens marched from Bengaluru city railway station to Central College ground, where a convention was conducted.

5. Sachin’s Son, Arjun Tendulkar Selected in Mumbai U-19 Squad

Arjun Tendulkar, the son of cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, has been selected to represent Mumbai in the 5th Late Shri JY Lele All India Under-19 Invitational One Day tournament.

The tournament, although not a BCCI event, will be played from 16 September to 23 September at Vadodara.
