Another investigation carried out in November 2019 found that the State Bank of India actually records these hidden numbers – making the government's claim of donor anonymity untrue. As the Supreme Court struck down electoral bonds as unconstitutional in a landmark judgment, it stood as a recognition of our award-winning investigation.
