The stone-age of technology or the time before cell phones could take photos, when everyone would get film developed and wait excitedly for pictures, is a thing of the past.
Now, when most old photos are gathering dust in homes, Google has come up with the perfect way to bring these photos back to life for all those “Throw Back Thursdays,” with their app PhotoScan.
The app doesn’t take a photo of your photo- the end product always seems to have a glare-filter on it. It’s a scanner, so it’s almost as good as having taken the original photo on your phone!
All you need to do is take the photo you want for your throwback, click on the four dots that appear around it and presto – you’ve got a scan of it, clear as day.
What the app does is take multiple shots of the image, so move the camera over your photo slowly. Then, it stitches them together and removes any glare. Plus, you get 12 more filters to enhance the photo, along with options to adjust the contrast and highlights.
