1. ‘Padmavati’ Row: Kapil Sharma Supports Deepika, Condemns Threats

The film and entertainment industry in India has slowly but steadily been voicing its support for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati , which has been facing nation-wide protests.

Kapil Sharma, comedian-turned-actor and producer joined the fray and condemned the death threats being issued against the cast of the movie. While addressing the controversy at an event to promote his upcoming film Firangi in Delhi, he said, “Actually I’m really confused about it. Some say Censor Board has seen the film, some say they haven’t… so what is the reason? Basically, the community has raised the objection saying the film will hurt sentiments…”

2. CBFC Orders ‘S Durga’ to Not Be Screened at ANY Venue

The powers that be seem to be going to great (and absurd) lengths to halt the screening of Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s controversial Malayalam film S Durga at the 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

It was earlier reported that the IFFI jury consisting of three new members watched and passed the censored version of the film on Monday to be screened at IFFI as per the directive of the Kerala High Court. However, the officials at IFFI were still non-committal about when the film would be screened at the Festival, which concludes on Tuesday, 28 February.

3. Diljit Dosanjh as Hockey Legend Sandeep Singh In Soorma

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, who made his Bollywood debut with Udtaa Punjab, will now be seen in a sports film based on hockey legend Sandeep Singh. Directed by Shaad Ali, the film is titled Soorma and the first look of this intense looking biopic was out on Twitter on Tuesday.

4. I Would Like to Work With Aamir Khan: Manushi Chhillar

Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar spoke to the media in Delhi on Tuesday morning. Chhillar took questions from reporters who quizzed her on various things including her childhood, her grooming and her winning moment.

The international beauty pageant winner’s press conference predictably took off with the all important question of her interest in Bollywood. When quizzed about who she would like to work with if she got a film offer, Manushi said that she would want to work with Aamir Khan, because the actor’s movies connect to the society in a positive way.

5. Kangana Ranaut’s Nephew Is 13 Days Old, Rangoli Shares Pictures

Kangana Ranaut’s sister, Rangoli Ranaut delivered a baby boy on November 16. Prithvi Raj Chandel is now 13 days old and social media got a chance to virtually witness a local ceremony called Gantryala in Himachal Pradesh as a part of the celebrations.
