Filmmaker Karan Johar will now have a wax statue of his at Madame Tussauds this year. As K Jo’s debut film as a director Kuch Kuch Hota Hai also completes 20 years in 2018, it’s just a reason for more celebration.

Karan Johar will be the first Indian filmmaker to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds. We would have preferred a Satyajit Ray statue but hey, whatever rocks Tussauds’ boat! Karan has been one of the most influential filmmakers who’ve opened up the overseas market for Bollywood films in the 90s, so we guess there is merit there.

Hansal Mehta’s gritty, raw, brutal and disturbing Omerta, the film about the global terror activities of Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, has finally been cleared by the CBFC with an “A” certificate.

Hansal who has in the past fought many brave battles with the censor board was ready for a long grim fight to ensure nothing was tampered with in Omerta. In an earlier conversation Hansal had pledged not to allow even a single cut.

However only one major cut has been ordered. It is the sequence where Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh (Rajkummar Rao) is seen urinating in prison while the Indian national anthem is playing outside.

The censor board has asked for the National anthem to be removed from this acutely offensive scene.

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez teamed up with her favourite make-up artiste in B-town - Shaan Muthathil on Wednesday afternoon to give her fans a few inside tips on how to get gorgeous. Jacqueline and Shaan were roped in by an international cosmetics brand as a marketing exercise to publicise their products, and they seem to have done a good job of it. The actor played her part as she submitted herself for a live demo in transforming from a no make-up look to a glam queen under the able hands of Shaan.

Kartik Aaryan captured the imagination of many after his no-holds-barred monologue in Pyar Ka Punchnaama. But his latest film, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety seems to have catapulted him to stardom.
