A day after a police officer was killed by terrorists in Srinagar, a man, reportedly working at a shop owned by a Kashmiri Pandit, was shot dead on Monday, 8 November, by terrorists in the Bohri Kadal area of old Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir.

The man, identified as Mohammad Ibrahim, worked as a salesperson in the shop, which was reopened in 2019 after 29 years, and was a resident of Bandipora, NDTV reported. He was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition but was declared dead.

The Jammu & Kashmir Police registered a case under the relevant sections and also cordoned off the crime scene, ANI reported.

Omar Abdullah, the former chief minister of Jammu & Kashmir, condemned the incident in a tweet.

"The dastardly killing of Ibrahim is reprehensible & I unreservedly condemn it. Unfortunately Ibrahim is the latest in a series of targeted killings in the valley, especially Srinagar. May Allah grant him place in Jannat," he said.
