Stanislas Wawrinka, who beat Novak Djokovic 6-7, 6-4, 7-5, 6-3 in the US Open final, on Sunday, said that he cried moments before the match because he was very nervous.
However, the world number three expressed that he was confident about his game and planned to keep fighting till the end.
The world number one, Novak Djokovic said that Wawrinka played aggressively whereas, the Serb waited for things to happen.
Djokovic added that he didn’t capitalise on the opportunities that he had in the match.
