Pakistan envoy Abdul Basit has warned that there can’t be long-lasting peace in the region without solving Jammu and Kashmir’s key issues.
The envoy has said that Pakistan wishes to solve all disputes with India including the Jammu and Kashmir issue through dialogue.
High Commissioner Basit also played down his meeting with Hurriyat leaders in Delhi.
The envoy invited seven separatists, including Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq for the Pakistan Day celebrations at the High Commission in New Delhi on Tuesday.
