An officer posted with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) was shot dead by unidentified bike-borne assailants in the wee hours of 3 April.
The officer’s wife was seriously injured. The incident took place when Ahmed, an assistant commandant with BSF, who was currently on deputation in NIA, was returning from Bijnor.
In New Delhi, NIA IG Sanjeev Kumar called it a “planned attack”.
