Bollywood star Varun Dhawan just got his wax double at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong on 30 Jan. He is the fourth Indian to get a wax statue there, and says that he finds his new wax double eerie.

The 30-year-old actor unveiled his waxwork in person. He admitted that the first sight of the wax double startled him.

I got scared because I walked in and I saw his eyes are exactly like my eyes when I’m shooting a song. I’m always like... (widens his eyes). And these are my eyes. You can get the face, you can get the body, but to get the eyes, it’s incredible.

The Bollywood star says the waxwork's creators shaped his other body parts pretty accurately. "They got the abs and the butt pretty bang on," Dhawan smiled.

The Dishoom star even unbuttoned his shirt to show allow people to compare his abs with that of his double’s.

Dhawan made the unveiling ceremony a family affair. He was accompanied by his sisters, mother, and also his director father, David Dhawan.

He said the wax figure was not just an honour for him, but for his family as well.

Yeah I think my dad got emotional. My mom and my sisters. It’s a very big deal. I mean I come from a city in India and I never imagined that I would have a wax figure here in Hong Kong.

Since his first film in 2012, Dhawan has become one of Bollywood's biggest rising stars. After starring in a string of box office hits like ABCD2, Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2, Dhawan's career shows no signs of slowing down.

Next, he stars in romantic drama, October. Dhawan said that the film captures the essence of an unconditional love that the world needs more of right now.

Dhawan's wax double is the fourth Indian wax figure at Hong Kong's Madame Tussauds. It joins the waxworks of Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Amitabh Bachchan.
