SP Feud Continues as Mulayam Expels Ram Gopal Yadav & Two Others

SP Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav said that the National Executive’s decision to elect son Akhilesh Yadav as party chief was “illegal”. He also called the meet “unconstitutional.”

Next, Mulayam Singh Yadav expelled Ram Gopal Yadav from the party for six years. This is the second time in a span of two days that Ram Gopal has been expelled from the party.

At the same time, Mulayam Singh Yadav expelled party national vice president Kiranmoy Nanda and Naresh Agrawal from the party, continuing a spate of suspensions that have thrown the party into chaos over the last two days.

Talking at the National Executive meet of the Samajwadi Party, leader Ram Gopal Yadav said that the National Executive made three important resolutions:

  • It unanimously elected Akhilesh Yadav as the national president of Samajwadi Party.
  • The executive wants Shivpal Yadav to be removed as state president.
  • It also wants that Amar Singh be sacked from the party.
