Reiterating the points he had made at his Goa and Gujarat rallies, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government have snatched the poor man’s hard-earned money by demonetising Rs 500 and 1,000 notes.
Responding to Modi’s jibe at him at his Varanasi rally, Rahul Gandhi said, “I’m not posing this question to you. It is the youth and poor of the country have posed this question. You can make fun of me all you want, but you should answer my questions”
He then repeated his earlier remarks about Modi “mocking” MNREGA and crippling the poor workers of the country and giving their money to financial defaulters such as of Vijay Mallya and Lalit Modi.
