Lakhan Babu Kashyap has been protesting outside his own home. The elderly man alleges that he and his wife were mistreated and thrown out of their home by his elder son and daughter-in-law.
He (the son) asked us for a place to stay for 3-4 months while he found another accommodation. Three years later, when my wife and I asked him to move out, my son and daughter-in-law took us to a locked room and thrashed us. Relatives allege that the son, Amit Kashyap, is demanding money to move out. Lakhan’s brother, Ram Babu Kashyap said that Amit has purchased another house, but refuses to move out of his father’s house unless he is paid Rs 10 lakh. “My brother had a shop but he has closed it now. He has no source of income. Where will he get the money from?” he asked.
The police got involved when Lakhan’s condition worsened. He has been admitted to a hospital. Rajesh Kumar Yadav, SSI, Gomti Nagar, said that the police was investigating the matter.
