In a shocking incident in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, an alleged school dropout hospital owner was caught on camera operating on a patient. The matter came to light after a video of the incident went viral. Shamli’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has sent a notice to the hospital.
Ashok Kumar Handa, ACMO Shamli, said that a notice has been sent to the hospital. He added that the matter was under investigation. “Let the clarification come from the hospital then we will look into the matter. Legal action will be taken against them,” he said.
According to reports, the local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader tried to interfere with the investigation and the medical officers were not allowed to enter the operation theatre by the hospital authorities. Hospital owner Nardev Singh denied all allegations, calling the video “misleading”. He also rubbished claims of the BJP leader’s interference in the investigation.
This is not the first time this hospital has been in the news. The hospital was earlier sealed due to irregularities.
