India's Sports Minister Vijay Goel said his ministry has issued a showcause notice to the IOA, saying all ties will be severed until Suresh Kalmadi and Abhay Singh Chautala are removed from IOA's post of Life Presidents.
Kalmadi has declined the post, whereas Chautala said that there are no criminal charges against him.
The officials were awarded the post unanimously by the members of IOA on Tuesday.
