Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and her cabinet ministers attended the wreath laying ceremony of eight CRPF personnels who were killed in a ‘fidayeen’ type militant attack on Saturday. Mehbooba condemned the attack and accused the militants of tarnishing the image of Kashmir and Islam.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s envoy to India Abdul Basit refused to comment on the attacks and focused instead on Iftar celebrations.
