The 2016 IPL auction, which was held at Bengaluru on Saturday was full of surprises. The lesser known players were preferred over well-known international stars such as New Zealand’s Martin Guptill.
Uncapped player Pawan Negi was sold for a whopping Rs 8.5 crore. He was sold at 28 times his base price (Rs 30 lakh). Karun Nair, whose base price was Rs 10 lakh was sold at Rs 4 crore.
