A loud bang, followed by panic as cries and screams rent the air. This footage, was shot by a Chinese tourist near the Bangkok temple on Monday when the bomb exploded killing 22 people.
Forensic teams, police, and locals searched for evidence in a pier near Bangkok’s Taksin bridge, investigating any potential leads on the fatal bomb attack in the Thai capital.
Police personnel searched for evidence through the murky water, sending divers in to the canal. Local workers and law enforcement then began draining the water from the area, using water pumps and sand bags to aid their search.
Mourners created a memorial at Bangkok’s Hindu Erawan Shrine on Tuesday.
Sources suggest that the perpetrators intended to damage the economy and Thailand’s tourism sector. So far no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Meanwhile, a video footage of a key suspect in the bomb blast has emerged. The footage from a CCTV camera shows a man in a yellow shirt carrying a backpack and carefully leaving it at the scene of the blast.
