“Off the field activities might have made headlines this series, but some fascinating cricket has been displayed in this four-match rubber,” says cricket Nishant Arora. India scored 248 runs for the loss of six wickets on day two of the Dharamsala Test. They still trail Australia, who scored 300 in their first innings, by 52 runs.

The last session on day two tilted the momentum of the game in Australia’s favour after Nathan Lyon picked four wickets after lunch. India must come back strong in the first session on day three, opined Nishant.

Australians made the most of the conditions. They kept a tight hold on day two and there was a game of cat and mouse between the Indian batsman and Australian bowlers. Some good discipline displayed by KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane but in the end, Australia had a very good last session after which the momentum has titled in the visitors’ favour. India must come back strong in the first session of day three and surpass Australia’s first innings total of 300.
