Aamir Khan Vows to End Maharashtra Drought With Paani Foundation 

Khan’s initiative has helped villagers save Rs 272 crore of water annually.

Aamir Khan wants to help end the Maharashtra drought crisis with his successful initiative of Paani Foundation.

He lauded the Maharashtra government’s efforts in drought-ridden areas and said he wishes to help make Maharashtra drought-free within the next five years.

1368 crore litres of water was saved by villagers under his initiative, which equals Rs 272 crore worth of water being saved annually.

Filmmaker Raj Kumar Hirani is also backing Khan’s efforts, saying how his project began with three districts and now provides 140 villages with ample water.
