The opening batsman Gautam Gambhir spoke to The Quint about day and night Tests and not being picked for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand.
Gambhir launched a new tournament – Indian Junior Players League (IJPL) in New Delhi on Thursday.
Gambhir said that he is a traditionalist and therefore feels that Test matches should only be played with the red ball.
The 34-year-old expressed that he is working hard to get back into the Indian team, but the selection is not in his hands.
Gambhir added, he focuses on scoring runs for whichever team he plays for and he doesn’t think too much about not being selected for the Indian team.
