If you’re fed up of finding PokeStops at random shady places, Nintendo might be onto something which will get you excited. Reports have pointed out that Nintendo, the maker of Pokemon Go, is now looking to take the viral mobile game to businesses across the world. And we’re not surprised that food chains like McDonald’s and Burger King are the first to jump into the queue.
It is said that Nintendo will sign business deals with these food chains to offer them sponsored PokeStops, giving them the opportunity to make the best of the Pokemon Go frenzy right now.
We’re not sure which country McDonald’s will offer its PokeStop in, as of now, but we can say for certain that India won’t be a part of that list yet.
Making Sense of Pokemon Go
Nintendo is doing its best to mint as much money as possible out of the Pokemon Go craze, before it starts to fizzle out with the users. Taking the game on the path of a business without tweaking its basic game strategy could be a win-win situation for both parties.
While Nintendo’s stock continues to rise sky high, widely recognised brands like McDonald’s can attract more and more consumers with the help of PokeStops.
It will be interesting to see the countries in which Nintendo manages to get McDonald’s on board for its sponsored PokeStops. Currently, the mobile game is available to users on Android and iOS in countries like UK, Germany, US, and Australia among others.
Whoever gets in, they’re sure to have a Happy Meal time with Pokemon running amok amongst them!
