The Moto series clearly has the company’s blessings, which is why the Indian market is getting the latest set of Moto products, part of the Moto E series, not long after the Moto C debuted in the country.
What also excites us about the Moto E4 is that this is a product which moves away from the wilderness of online space, and for once, focuses on those who still prefer to touch-and-feel phones before buying them.
The Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus are the first set of devices, that, according to Motorola, cater to users who’re looking for a big-display phone with a huge battery unit. And most importantly, both are priced under Rs 10,000.
Both phones pack Mediatek processor, while the Moto E4 and E4 Plus come with 2GB and 3GB RAM respectively. For storage, you get 16/32GB onboard, expandable up to 128GB via microSD slot.
Having said that, both phones have HD (1280x720 pixels) resolution, which is likely to have its own set of detractors. During our brief time with the phone, we didn’t feel the quality lagging, but still, for Rs 8,999 and Rs 9,999, buyers have been spoilt with options like the Redmi Note 4.
Vivo and Oppo have eaten into the offline space of the Indian mobile market, and there are no surprises that Moto is latest to jump into the offline wagon, with the Moto E4 already available across stores.
Catering to power users, the Moto E4 Plus packs a mammoth 5000mAh battery, which however, makes the device bulky at 198 grams.
