The year 2016 has been a mixed bag for Apple so far, with their revenues failing to match up to last year’s. The most promising thing for Tim Cook & Co is that markets like China and India are beginning to realise the potential that Apple has been repeatedly talking about.
The Indian market has shown up with higher iPhone sales numbers than most of its established countries and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by Cook.
In the first quarter of 2016, Apple confirmed that iPhone sales in India have grown at over 51 percent year-on-year.
Cook highlighted Apple’s big push in China and India, where they have made massive investments in setting up partners deals, app development centre and a first-ever Map centre in India as well. Speaking on the subject of Apple retail stores in the country, Cook said:

Cook tried his best to suggest that all Apple products are in demand, by referring to sales growth in percentiles. However, when compared with previous years, those numbers have definitely come down.
The company posted quarterly revenue of $42.4 billion and quarterly net income of $7.8 billion, compared to revenue of $49.6 billion last year.Apple Statement
All Hopes on the iPhone 7
All this merely strengthens the belief that Apple must be secretly hoping that the upcoming iPhone manages to regain lost ground.

The upcoming iPhone (7 or some say 6SE) will look like the 6S, but will have significant differences: it’ll come with a bigger storage variant, no audio jack and dual-camera set up.
