It’s always good when you have a single destination app for all your needs – from finding a carpenter to shopping your groceries. Well, Google has recently launched an app called Areo that’s a one-stop destination for finding food delivery options and other home services.
Currently, the app is operational in Bengaluru and Mumbai only but is expected to roll out in other parts of the country as well. It’s only available to Android users for now.
Google, hand-in-hand with hyperlocal app services such as Zimmber, Urbanclap, Faasos and of course the Areo app, aggregates information available through other partner apps to give a unified interface to book, pay or schedule certain services.
Bigger players in the service app world like Foodpanda, Swiggy and Zomato are not part of the Areo tie-up yet.
At the moment, what’s being offered to you by Areo is an array of services like food delivery, home maintenance, chores and cleaning, repairs and installations, fitness, beauty and more.
Currently, the application is a work in progress and still needs a lot of refinements to achieve maximum efficiency. With so many applications crowding your phone’s screen, the Areo app could make things easier for you picking out the right service.
Although, this service is similar to what the Just Dial app offers with its all-in-one integrated services, we tout the Areo to be a better bet in the coming days purely because of Google’s expansive data base and a much-refined interface.
