iPad Pro users in India can rejoice! Apple has made some of its iPad Pro accessories available in the country.
The Pencil – Apple’s take on the stylus, a product Steve Jobs disliked immensely – is now available in India for Rs 8,600, which is marginally lower than the $99 device price in the US.
The Apple Pencil can be used on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro to create sketches, paint and write on the digital platform. The Pencil offers quick-response output and Apple claims that there’s no lag between what you have scribbled and how it shows up on the iPad Pro.
In addition to that, you can control the sensitivity of the Pencil’s touch to get the desired size of lines or object. On the creativity side, Pencil lets you add gradient tone and shades by tilting the nib to an angle.
The Pencil comes equipped with a rechargeable built-in battery that Apple promises can last for over 12 hours on a single charge.
Apple has also released the Smart Keyboard for the iPad Pro, which can be bought for Rs 14,900. Attach the iPad Pro to the keyboard to get a refined experience of a tablet, akin to a laptop.
All this sounds great. But if you do not already own an iPad Pro and are looking to buy it bundled with the Pencil and Smart Keyboard, it will cost upwards of Rs 90,000. Not very exciting, is it?
We think its best to wait for Microsoft to come out with its Surface Pro 4 pricing for India early next year to see who wins the Pro battle in India.
