Mahindra Thar 2015
The 2015 Mahindra, in a smart move and based on consumer feedback, recently decided to revamp their true blue off-roader, Thar. The new Thar goes on sale for Rs 8.03 lakhs (ex-showroom, Nashik) for the top-of-the-line CRDe engine variant. And it doesn’t disappoint: there have been some substantial updates both in terms of its styling as well as its mechanics.
The Mahindra lover will also be satisfied with the nature of upgrades to the vehicle – both cosmetic and mechanical – the biggest of which is, the mechanical locking rear differential, which makes the Thar more competent off the road.

Exterior Changes
The new Thar now comes with a wider stance, new plastic bumpers, an all-new canopy and an updated soft top.
Interior Changes
The interiors of the car have also been sufficiently revamped with a new design dual-tone dashboard, round aircon vents, an all new instrument console, a new gear-lever and a steering wheel.
Key Specifications
If there’s one department where the new model of the 2015 Mahindra Thar certainly isn’t lacking, it’s power. The Thar is powered by a 2,523cc, 4-cylinder, CRDe turbo-diesel motor that churns out a maximum power of 63 BHP and a peak torque of 182.5 Nm.
The motor comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The new Thar is available in both 2WD and 4WD variants.
