TVS Motor Company launched its all new 110cc commuter, the Radeon at a price of Rs 48,400 (ex-showroom Delhi) in New Delhi on Thursday. The bike comes with a completely new design language and TVS hopes to target the young commuters with this motorcycle.
"TVS Motor Company Ltd hopes to further increase its market share in the commuter motorcycle segment with its new 110cc model Radeon", a senior company official said.
According to Sudarshan Venu, Joint Managing Director, the new bike will be the fourth one for the company in that segment after Sport, Star and Victor.
The bike shares its platform with the TVS Star City+, powered by the same 109.7cc single cylinder engine that powered the Starcity+.
The engine makes 8.3bhp of power and 8.7Nm of torque. TVS has claimed a fuel efficiency of 69.3 kmpl.
TVS Motor has a share of seven percent, and with the Radeon, the company plans to take it up to 10 percent.
The Radeon comes with Synchronised Braking technology which, according to TVS is the first in its segment. The commuter bike segment commands a market share of 45 percent.
