Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd currently holds 26 percent of the market share in India and has managed to sell 30 lakh units in 8 months.

There has been an increase in the demand for Honda motorcycles and scooters during the festive season in November during which the retail grew by 68 percent.

The company sold 2.2 lakh units on Dhanteras. The Activa and Livo models were out of stock at many dealerships, says Honda.

To meet the increasing demand, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India had to dispatch 3.26 lakh units in November because of a planned 3-day plant maintenance shut down.
