Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli has recommended former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori for Team India coach’s job, according to a Times of India report.

The Kiwi legend is currently the coach of IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore, which is led by Kohli himself. Vettori is also the coach of Australian Big Bash team Brisbane Heat.

According to the report, Kohli who currently leads the Indian test side has already submitted the recommendation but there have been no confirmation yet if the BCCI is giving the New Zealander a serious thought yet.

India scheduled to play 18 Test matches between June 2016-March 2017, the appointment of a national coach should come around any time soon.
