- The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the plea filed by broadcaster Star India against sharing clean feed, free of advertisements and sponsor logos, with Prasar Bharti. Star Sports was appealing against an earlier judgment by the Delhi High Court.
- According to a 2007 rule, private broadcasters such as Star India must share coverage of sports events of national importance with the state-owned Prasar Bharti, without advertisements, reports Livemint.
- At present, Star India holds the rights to broadcast cricket events organised under the International Cricket Council in India.
