Not all celebrations in the Sania Mirza camp today despite her finals victory in the women’s doubles draw with Martina Hingis.
Soon after winning her fourth women’s doubles Grand Slam, Sania was back on court for a mixed doubles semi-final with Ivan Dodig. The Indo-Czech pair were seeded number one but facing Elena Vesnina and Bruno Soares, the top seeds went down in straight sets 7-5, 7-6.
Vesnina and Soares, both Sania’s former partners, will next meet Coco Vandeweghe and Horia Tecau in the mixed doubles final.
