3. Ian Bell Bats For Pietersen

Following the ECB’s decision to disallow an in-form Kevin Pietersen to make a comeback for England due to “trust issues”, a member of the English cricket team, Ian Bell, has spoken out in favour of KP.

“If he keeps scoring runs maybe there’s a position in time. Everyone deserves that opportunity with a long summer ahead,” Bell told BBC Sport.

Asked about the all-important “trust issue” point the ECB made, Bell said he had no such problem with Pietersen. “We all did. We had a good team that won a lot of cricket together and you don’t do that without trust, without looking after each other and playing well. I enjoyed some great partnerships with Kevin in the middle order,” he said.
