Not known to mince words, former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi on Thursday slammed BCCI president Anurag Thakur, calling him a ‘fixer’ and current IPL boss Rajeev Shukla a ‘dalal’ (broker).

The Supreme Court on Thursday gave the Anurag Thakur-led BCCI a one-day deadline to give an undertaking that it would implement all the recommendations made by the Lodha Committee. If it failed to do so at the hearing on Friday, it is very likely that the apex court will appoint it’s own set of administrators to run Indian cricket.

Lalit Modi, who has been fighting his own battle with the BCCI since 2013 when he was banned for life after a committee found him guilty on charges of misconduct, indiscipline and financial irregularities, attacked Thakur for not having “any credentials”.

After the BCCI tweeted out the resume of their president on Thursday, Modi questioned Thakur’s credentials, even accusing him of using his father’s political power to play one Ranji trophy match.

Supporting the recommendations made by the Lodha panel, Modi promised full adherence to them by the Rajasthan Cricket Association.
