It’s December and what’s a winter without a little Christmas cheer. Only this year, Santa Clause is coming to town and he’s making every tennis fan’s dream come true.

The Coca Cola IPTL has got together the two greatest tennis players — possibly of all time — and brought them to Delhi. Yes, Delhi.

31 Grand Slam titles, 155 ATP titles and 8 Grand Slam finals between them and now this Saturday, Swiss ace Roger Federer and Spain’s Rafael Nadal bring their legendary rivalry to an unchartered territory at the #CocaColaIPTL.

When? This Saturday, the 12th of December. At the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. It’s Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal.

Roger on Top?

33 epic clashes between the duo to date and it’s the younger Spaniard who leads the head-to-head tally, having beaten Roger 23 out of the 34 times they have faced each other across the net.

This year though, is different. In his 34th year, Roger Federer has hit a second wind of sorts — qualifying for two Grand Slam finals and winning 6 ATP titles. He is currently the world number 3.

Nadal though has lost a massive 20 (by his standards) matches this year and lifted a trophy on a weekend just three times. Also, he’s failed to reach a single Grand Slam final all season.

So then, who’s the favourite again?

What’s Going Down

With the ATP season all wrapped up for the year, the two legends have signed on to play in the #CocaColaIPTL — a league format team tournament.

While Roger dons the jersey for the UAE team, Nadal will step on court for the Indian Aces.

There are a total of five teams and each fields players in all brackets — men’s singles, women’s singles, mixed doubles, men’s doubles and legends.
