German Captain Bastian Schweinsteiger to Join Manchester United!
Bastian Schweinsteiger, Captain of the World Cup winning German National Team set to join Manchester United.
Following two disastrous seasons Manchester United have moved to bolster their midfield with the addition of Germany‘s World Cup-winner Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich as an attempt to re-establish themselves as a Premier League force.
Schweinsteiger, metronomic midfielder and Germany‘s World Cup winning Captain, agreed to join the 20-time English champions, Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said.
Bastian wants to do something new at the end of his career. The colleague from Manchester United got in touch with me. We have agreed on a transfer. I regret that because Bastian was an extremely deserving player for us. He has done great things. I can only wish all the best to Bastian. It will be an interesting task for him.

Manchester United confirmed they had reached an agreement to sign the 30-year-old subject to a medical and personal terms.
Schweinsteiger has spent 13 seasons with the Bavarians, winning the Bundesliga title eight times and came through the youth ranks at Bayern Munich. Schweinsteiger, has made 536 appearances for the Bayern since his debut in 2002, also won seven German Cups and the Champions League in 2013.
