The Indian spinners rolled every trick in the book in this innings. R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja picked up nine wickets between them and Amit Mishra got the other solitary wicket.

The world number one Test team looked clueless against quality spin bowling.

Venkatapathy Raju ripped through the Sri Lankan batting order in this only Test of the series in Chandigarh. The Islanders, who are generally good players of spin, faltered to the magic of Raju.

The left-arm orthodox bowler took six wickets, which included Arjuna Ranatunga and Marvan Atapattu.

83, Australia, 1981

After Australia dominated the Test match for four days, India’s golden bowler Kapil Dev came to the rescue. The Aussies were set a low target of 143. All pundits called the match before the second innings began, but Kapil Dev had other ideas.

Dev, who was fighting an injury at that time, ran through the Australian batting order to help India win the match by 59 runs.

84, South Africa, 2006

After losing the one-day series 4-0, the Indians wanted to get back at the Proteas in the Test series, and ended up doing just that.

The Indians posted a modest total of 249 in the first innings and then S Sreesanth took care of the rest. He spoke to Alan Donald for just five minutes before the match and bowled the spell of his life.

The fast bowler took five wickets for 40 runs, picking up big wickets like Graeme Smith and Hashim Amla. Indian won their first Test match in South Africa by 123 runs.

91, Bangladesh, 1990

Bangladesh posted a big score of 400 in the first innings and then India managed to stay in the game and get a lead of 29 runs.

As the home team looked for another good outing with the bat second time around, they faltered against Javagal Srinath and Sunil Joshi.

Both of them picked up three wickets each and handed India a 9-wicket victory.
