FIFA’s ethics watchdog suspended the president of the world body, Sepp Blatter, and UEFA leader Michel Platini for 90 days after they were named in a Swiss corruption case on Thursday.
The independent ethics committee also banned South Korean tycoon, Chung Mong-Joon, who like Platini has been a candidate for the FIFA presidency for six years.
FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke, who is already ordered to leave by FIFA over a separate ticketing scandal, was suspended for 90 days.
