Mithali Raj, captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, on Tuesday had to deal with what seemingly all female celebrities have to go through on social media at least once.
Mithali tweeted a picture with her girlfriends, in which she is seen clad in a casual black spaghetti top. That turned out to be too much for our clan of sanskaari trolls to handle, who went on a rampage on Twitter. They reminded her that she is “a captain, not a heroine”.
But, sadly for the trolls, the brilliant cricketer cannot care any less. In a phone interview with Times Now, Mithali clearly and coherently stated that she does not intend to give any importance to the trolls.
She further said she is an independent girl who is fully capable of making her choices.
Just because someone voiced their opinions, it doesn’t mean it will change everything.Mithali Raj to Times Now
Mithali said that just the way everyone has the freedom to express what they want, she has the freedom to dress how she wants and that she won’t change her mind on what she wears.
You slay, Mithali Raj – on field, as well as off it!
