India’s seaming all-rounders Stuart Binny and Irfan Pathan were sold at base price to Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rising Pune Supergiants respectively.
It was surprising to see Irfan Pathan to be sold Rs 1 crore (base price), even after being the highest wicket-taker in the recently concluded dometic tournament - Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament.
Stuart Binny, who was sold at Rs 2 crore, has been a good finisher and has bowled some important overs for the Rajasthan Royals in the last couple of years. The pinch-hitter has a highest score of 48* and has taken 16 wickets in his IPL career.
Irfan Pathan has moved around a lot among the IPL teams in the eight seasons. He first played for the Kings XI Punjab for three seasons and then moved to Delhi Daredevils for two seasons before playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
Pathan has a highest score of 60 and has taken 80 wickets in his IPL career.
