Three wiggling, white sheepdog puppies were pulled out from under tons of snow and rubble at an avalanche-struck hotel by an Italian emergency crew on Monday. However, the search for twenty missing people continues even five days after the disaster.

The puppies were born last month to the hotel's resident sheepdogs, Nuvola and Lupo, and were prominently featured on the hotel's Facebook page, reported the Associated Press.

The crew also said that it was not easy to rescue the puppies as they were buried deep in the snow.

We heard this very tiny bark and we saw them from a little hole the firefighters had opened in the wall. Then we expanded the hole and we pulled them out.

The rescuers are planning to get the puppies checked by a veterinarian to get an account of their health.

The team however, claimed that finding the puppies didn’t mean that other people could be found the same way.

As per BBC reports, the tragedy has claimed seven lives so far and nine people have been rescued from under the snow.
