Conclusion
This concludes ‘Super Tuesday’. What we have learnt is that Donald Trump with seven states in his pocket isn’t the Republican nominee...yet. However, the New York Billionaire and Democratic candidate Hilary Clinton scored big tonight.
Bernie Sanders trailed in second place with four states to his win, followed by Ted Cruz with his big three. Marco Rubio had a rough night by winning one state. Kasich came in second in Vermont. Carson was unfortunately in contention nowhere. Kasich called on Rubio to drop out and Carson said: “I will remain.”
The next March primaries will be held on 5 , 8, 12, 15, and 22.
Ted Cruz Wins His Third State
CNN has projected that the Republican Senator has won his third state on this ‘Super Tuesday’. Cruz now has three states in his bag including Oklahoma, Texas and now Alaska. Cruz received 36.4 percent and he was trailed by Donald Trump with 33.5 percent and Marco Rubio with 15.1 percent.
Donald Trump Wins Vermont
Republican front-runner, presidential candidate Donald Trump, has won the Vermont Caucuses. His victory states so far are:
