  • Donald Trump on Sunday indicated that he was ready for a “compromise” with the Republican leadership on key policy issues but insisted that he would still back building a wall along the Mexico border and temporarily ban Muslims from entering the US.

  • Last week, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Paul Ryan while endorsing Trump had said that he would bring out key policy papers. When asked about trade, he said he wants to make “good deals”, be it on free or non-free trade. He said currently, there is a huge trade deficit with China, Mexico and Japan and US is only making “bad deals”.

  • Trump also lashed out at Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential front-runner, for delivering a foreign policy speech which was centered around him, calling it a “Trump speech” instead of one of foreign policy.
