NASA will hold a press conference at 1 pm EST Wednesday, 22 February to present new findings on exoplanets, and the public will be able to ask questions via twitter.
Limited seating is available in the NASA TV studio for media who would like to attend in person at the agency’s Headquarters at 300 E Street SW in Washington. Media unable to attend in person may ask questions by telephone
NASA’s secrecy over the subject of their conference has led to many wondering exactly what they’ve found. USA Today wondered whether they would reinstate Pluto as a planet, while other believe that NASA might be launching a satellite to Jupiter’s moon – Europa, in the hopes of finding habitable conditions.
Having pushed the boundaries of man’s relationship with outer space, NASA has marvelled the world with its creations and inspired millions with its missions. The percentage of federal budget that NASA has been allocated however, has been steadily dropping since the Apollo program and in 2012.
The organisation’s ultimate goal has been to make the unknown, known. and given the secrecy of it’s findings, and the exclusivity of their launch, they might marvel the world, yet again.
