A woman flying back home to Guangzhou for the Chinese New Year was left ecstatic after she found out she was the only passenger on board the flight.
More than 50,000 passengers were stranded at a railway station in Guangzhou this week, because of weather delays, an inauspicious start for some as the country embarks upon its annual lunar new year travel rush.
Millions brave long queues, delays, and sold out tickets in the yearly 40-day travel frenzy ahead of the New Year, being celebrated this year on February 08.
But that did not infuriate this passenger. The lady known as Zhang posted pictures of her posing in front of rows and rows of empty seats onboard her flight, on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo.
While most passengers took up the offer of an earlier flight, Zhang chose not to, and the flight flew with her as the only passenger, the BBC reports.
