The Interior Ministry of Saudi Arabia has alleged on Tuesday that the suicide bomber who blew himself up in front of the US consulate in Jeddah is a Pakistani citizen.

He was identified as Abdullah Gulzar Khan (35), who worked as a driver in Riyadh, reported Dawn. He has reportedly been living in Jeddah with his wife and her parents for the past 12 years.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz, who is also the Saudi interior minister, visited two security officers and a citizen wounded in the bombing in Jeddah, the state news agency SPA reported on Monday evening.
