According to Health Bulletin updates, Sonia Gandhi is responding to antibiotics and has restarted physiotherapy rehabilitation for her shoulder as of Friday. The Congress chief also recovered from fever and showed improvement from infection.
Gandhi had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital for the last ten days after falling ill during a roadshow in Varanasi. She had fever, owing to which she extended her stay in the hospital by a few days, following the doctors’ advice.
She was admitted at Sir Ganga Ram hospital on 3 August with fever, dehydration and a shoulder injury.
Today (11 August) morning, a team of doctors has examined Mrs Gandhi. They have advised her to remain in hospital on account of fever due to infection in the body. Gandhi was shifted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital from the Army Research and Referral Hospital, where she was rushed, soon after her arrival from Varanasi around midnight on Tuesday.
Gandhi is admitted under the care of Dr Arup Basu and his team from Department of Pulmonology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
