KPCC executive committee member Shahida Kamal has joined the CPM. Shahida was on bad terms with the Congress for a long time and joined the CPM at a function in Kollam on Sunday, the Mathrubhumi reported.
She has remained the KSU state executive panel, Youth Congress state general secretary, Mahila Congress national general secretary and also remained an AICC member. She is also a member of Kerala State Social Welfare Board, Police Women’s Cell Advisory Board and Railway Consultative Committee.
She had contested the 2009 Lok Sabha Polls from the Kasargod seat and the 2011 assembly polls from Chadayamangalam on a Congress ticket.
