Incase you haven’t noticed, there is a World T20 on in India.

While the ‘minnows’ are fighting it out for the 2 qualifying spots, *most* teams have touched down in their base camps as the ‘Super 10’ leg of the tournament kicks off on the 15th of March.

Now while the best in the world start preps to get their campaigns underway, here’s a primer on the top bowlers you know you can count on to give batsmen a few nervous moments over the next few weeks.

Mohammad Amir

A five-year suspension and a six-month jail sentence later, Mohammad Amir is back in international cricket.

Not many(read:his own team) were too happy about his return, but one look at his raw pace and evident talent and you know the 23-year-old will make a mark on this tournament - with his skipper’s support, or without it.

Lasith Malinga

Sri Lanka’s World Twenty20 title defence took a bit hit when skipper Lasith Malinga‘s slow recovery from a knee injury forced him to hand over the captaincy to Angelo Mathews. The fast bowler however said he will be available for selection when the team takes the field for their first fixture on March 17.

Mustafizur Rahman

Possibly Bangladesh’s biggest find over the last year, seamer Mustafizur Rahman will be one player who the team will bank on, if they get past the prelims.

The youngster played a pivotal role in Bangladesh’s 23-run victory over Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup, but since then he has been on the sidelines after picking up a side strain.

Ravi Ashwin

The number 1 ranked bowler in Tests at the end of 2015, Ravi Ashwin can always be counted to step up for MS Dhoni, specially when they are playing at home.

After his match-winning four wicket haul in the series-clinching nine-wicket victory over Sri Lanka last month, Ashwin took all of four wickets in the Asia Cup in Bangladesh.

But then, this is India the World T20 is being played in.

Dale Steyn

Two wickets in two matches against Australia in the recently concluded three match T20 series but you can count Dale Steyn out, as they say, at your own peril.

The fast bowler, one of the world’s leading pacemen, has missed most of South Africa’s season with groin and shoulder problems but returned in the series against Australia.

What does he have in store?
