Following the return of speech and hearing impaired Geeta to India, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today said that India will send back Pakistani boy Ramzan to his home country and reunite him with his mother in Karachi.
Ramzan is currently living with an NGO in Bhopal. Foreign affairs minister said that India will send back Ramzan, if Pakistan is ready to accept him.
Swaraj also tweeted that Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan, TCA Raghavan, had met Ramzan’s mother Razia in Karachi and offered assistance to make her meet her son in India.
According to reports, Ramzan, a teenager, had supposedly entered India from Bangladesh after running away from home.
Ramzan’s father, a Pakistani, had reportedly divorced his first wife and married for the second time in Bangladesh. Ramzan had accompanied his father.
Efforts to send Ramzan to Pakistan failed due to lack of papers which prove his Pakistani citizenship.
